Overview.
Embarking on 16 days all-Uganda safari will give you much insight into the hidden safari adventures in the country. You can be picked up on arrival and transferred to Jinja where you will witness the source of the longest river in the world, the River Nile. From there you will be transferred to Mount Elgon for birding and later to Kidepo Valley in the northeast for game viewing and nature walks.
After game safari experience, our guide will transport you to Murchison Falls National Park from where you will have a game drive and boat cruise in the afternoon. You will later the next day set off for a chimpanzee trekking experience at Kibale National Park. The following morning you will head to Queen Elizabeth for a lion tracking experience and a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after the morning game drive.
Trek mountain gorillas the following day and in the afternoon transfer to Lake Bunyonyi the deepest lake in Uganda. You will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park for a game drive and boat cruise experience. On the final day of your 16 days all Uganda safari, you will have a morning horseback riding before setting off to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Jinja
Upon arrival at the Pearl of Africa, our professional guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport. You will be immediately transferred to Jinja via the city of Kampala. You will get an opportunity to see the locals in Kampala as they trade and go by with their usual daily businesses. The journey to Jinja will take you approximately an hour just in time to check in at your lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Explore the source of River Nile
You will be served a hot fresh meal for breakfast and our driver guide will pick you up in time to the source of the longest river on earth, River Nile. You can engage in a lot of activities of your choice while at the river from bungee jumping to the white-water rafting.
You can as well choose have a silent moment and marvel at the beautiful force of nature the river Nile. In the evening, you will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful and relaxed sleep.

Day 3: Transfer to Mountain Elgon National Park for Birding and nature walks
In the morning our guide will be at your lodge to pick you up after your delicious breakfast. You will commence on a 3-4-hour journey to Mount Elgon National Park. You will arrive at Mountain Elgon National Park around midday and check in at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will head to the park for a bird-watching experience which take you until evening for a guided nature walk along the Khauka cave tail. After the exhausting but fun hiking adventure, you will be taken to your lodges for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
You will wake up in the morning, have your delicious breakfast and our guide will take you on a journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. This is a long journey taking over 7-8 hours on the road. It is however an adventurous journey that will introduce you to the rural life of the people of northern Uganda. You will arrive in the evening and check in your lodge right on time for dinner and cool your body with a cold shower as you lie down for the night.

Day 5: Game viewing and afternoon nature walks
You will have an early breakfast and our guide will pick you up for a morning game viewing at Narus Valley. This valley is highly anticipated by many animals that come there for the greener pastures and drink water from the Narus River. The valley is surrounded by Mountain Morungole and Apoka. This is the best place for a game drive since all the animals converge there as they feed. You get to see different animals like buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, antelopes among others. After the game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch. Our guide will then pick you up and head to the park for an afternoon nature walk. Designated hiking trails like Mountain Lonyilli and Morungole are well-decorated for an adventurous walk in the park.
The professional armed rangers keep with you at all times for safety reasons. Hiking in the park will expose you to the wild and you get to come across some animals like elephants, zebras, and reedbucks to mention but a few. In the evening you will be transferred to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will check out from the lodge ready for the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. This journey will take about 6-7 hours through Gulu city. You will have a short stop-over on the road for a few sucks and meet the locals. You will enter Murchison Falls National Park through the Wankar gate and check in at your lodge. Dinner will be served in the evening and after you head to bed for relaxation.

Day 7: Boat cruise and visit the top of Murchison Falls
You will engage in a morning session boat cruise on the Victoria Nile after your breakfast. This boat cruise is very adventurous and fun because it takes you to the bottom of the falls. You will also get a chance to see different animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and antelopes among others on the shores of the river. Hippos as well as crocodiles the usual residents of the river can also be spotted.
In the afternoon, you will have a drive to the top of the great Murchison Falls. This is the strongest waterfalls in the world and by the mare coming close to it, you feel the magnitude of its power. After the encounter, you will be taken back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night.

Day 8: Transfer to Kibale National Park and tour the crater lakes
In the morning after your delicious breakfast, you will check out of the lodge ready to hit the road for Kibale National Park. Along the way, you will have short stopovers at the stalagmites and stalactites rocks locally named “Amabere Ga’nyinamwiru” and also at different crater lakes like Lake Nyinambuga, Lake Nkuruba, and Lake Nyabikera which are in the shape of the map of Africa among others.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and bird watching
After breakfast will meet the officials of the park at the head offices for a short briefing about the code of conduct while in the presence of chimpanzees. This is before heading out into the forests of Kibale for trekking. This process is both healthy and fun since it is a chance to burn some extra calories from the body and see the chimpanzees in their natural habitats. After the chimpanzees have been sought, you will be given an hour to take photos and observe them. You will then trek back to offices and head to the lodge for a delightful lunch.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a birding safari on either of the designated trails in the park such as the Kanyanchu area among others.

Day 10: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning immediately after your breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. There will be planned stopovers along the way like at the Rift Valley escarpment on Lake Albert and the coffee plantations.

Day 11: Lion tracking experience and afternoon boat cruise
You will in the morning after your breakfast commence the journey to track down lions in their natural habitat. Lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park especially at Ishasha are one of the very unique types of lions because they adapted the practice of climbing trees. Some of the lions in the park have radio collars around their necks which makes the process of tracking them simple. You will head back to the lodge for your delicious lunch.
An afternoon session boat cruise will be the next activity after your lunch. This is an incredible experience on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is a great opportunity to see large schools of hippos in the water and massive Nile crocodiles busking on the shores. The channel is the main water source so it attracts several numbers including elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and antelopes to mention but a few. After the boat cruise, you will head to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 12: Morning game drive to Ishasha sector
In the following morning after a delicious breakfast, engage in a morning game drive to the Ishasha region. While on this game drive, you may come across the rare tree-climbing lions in Ishasha. These lions usually hang on branches of fig trees and cactus trees so they can be easily spotted while in the comfort of your vehicle. After lunch at the lodge, you will commence your journey to the mountain terrain of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 13: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be transported to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park immediately after your delicious breakfast. The journey to Bwindi will be an adventurous one because you will enjoy the mountainous landscape of the area and the cool and thick vegetation of the area. Upon arrival, you will check in at your booked hotel right time for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Mountain Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home of the endangered mountain gorillas. You will be picked from your lodge where you spent a night and driven to the park head offices. From here you will receive a short briefing from the officials and then emerge in a group of 8 people. A guide range will lead you on the journey in the deep thick forest of Bwindi to find mountain gorillas. So the grouping of 8 earlier is to prepare you the meet one of the gorilla families in the park since each family is trekked by only 8 people and for an hour. After intense physical maneuvers in the thick vegetation and forest, finally, the prize of meeting the gorillas in their natural habitats is won.
After this encounter with the primates, you will then trek back to the lodge for lunch and start on the journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania. You can take part in the many activities like boat riding and canoeing among others that are at the lake. A lot of unique bird species can be spotted while at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 15: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for a boat cruise
Check out at the lodge in Bwindi after your delicious breakfast and head to Lake Mburo National Park. You will reach Lake Mburo just in time for the morning session boat cruise. While on the boat cruise, you will have magnificent scenes of the landscape and the different animals that call the park their home.
Animals like buffaloes, antelopes, waterbucks, zebras, hippos, and crocodiles to mention but a few are very easy to spot. You will be there after check-in at the booked lodge for lunch and refresh. In the late evening, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and a campfire will be lit for you to relax and watch the stars shining down on the African savannah while taking dinner.

Day 16: Morning horseback riding and Transfer to Kampala and Departure
Our guide will pick you up from your lodge and embark on an adventure and explore the park while on a horse ride. This is not only fun but it also gives the feeling of being in the wild with the animals. You will later after your lunch set off for Kampala and this will mark the end of the 16 days all Uganda safari.
There will be a punctuated stopover at Kayabwe to take some final photos at the equator. Our professional guide will drive you to the airport or any hotel of your choice. This will be the end of our 16-day all-Uganda safari.
