 Overview.

Embark on an epic adventure of 12 days Uganda safari and you will be amazed by the variety of adventurous activities and attractions. The safari will begin with a tour around Kampala city before transferring to the national parks across the country. You will have a boat cruise and game drive in Lake Mburo national park, gorilla trekking in Bwindi, and a game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park.

Thereafter embark on a journey to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking before going to Murchison Falls National Park for a game drive and boat cruise and also have a glimpse of the world’s strongest waterfall, Murchison Falls.

Detained Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival and Kampala City tour

Upon arrival in the country, you will be met with our professional guide who will take you through a city tour of Kampala. You will visit cultural sites like Kasubi tombs, Buganda kingdom, Amin torture chambers, and historical sites like the Bahai temple, among others.

Day 2: Transfer Lake Mburo National Park

The following day our guide will pick you up from your hotel after your delicious breakfast and commence on the journey to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have stopovers at Kayabwe for a photo moment at the equator.

Day 3: Game drive and evening boat cruise

After your delicious breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your lodge for a morning game drive in the park. During the game drive you will be welcomed by herds of impala that swam the park from all corners, zebras, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and warthogs to mention but a few. After the game drive you will be taken back to the lodge for lunch. You will head back to the park for an evening boat cruise after lunch.

This boat cruise will be done on Lake Mburo the largest lake in the park. You will also see animals like hippos, crocodiles the residents of the lake, buffaloes, waterbucks, impalas, and zebras to mention but a few that come for a drink and cool off.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The following morning after your breakfast, you will start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Igongo Cultural Center. Igongo Cultural Center has a cultural museum that portrays the history of the Ankole kingdom.

When you visit the center, learn about the culture, norms, and values of the people of Ankole, their kings, and ancient leadership. You will also visit the eclipse site of the 1520 AD that is adjacent to Igongo Cultural Center. This site was recognized as a historical site by UNESCO.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking

The following day after your breakfast, you will be driven to the headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is here that you will be briefed on the expected code of conduct when you go to trek gorillas. After a short briefing, the professional rangers will lead you into the jungles of Bwindi on a search for the endangered mountain gorillas.

After sighting the mountain gorillas, you will be given an hour in their presence in their natural habitat. In the afternoon after your lunch, you may engage in an optional tour of the communities around the park.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will be served breakfast at the lodge before our guide picks you up to hit the road to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make short stopovers at the coffee plantations and also at the local tea factory and observe how tea is processed. You will arrive and check in at your booked hotel just in time for dinner.

Day 7: Game drive and Boat cruise

In the morning, our guide will pick you up after your breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park is gifted with a lot of wildlife that includes buffaloes, elephants, zebras, lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, and impalas to mention but a few scattered across the vast landscape of the park. In the afternoon after your lunch, you will engage in an evening session boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

This is the best place to spot aquatic animals like crocodiles and hippos. Boat cruise also offers great scenes of other animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and antelopes among others on the shores coming in for a drink and cool off from the braising sunshine.

Day 8: Transfer to Kibale National Park

The following day after your breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and our guide and driver will pick you up and you head to Kibale National Park. You will make punctured stopovers in Fort Portal at the stalagmites and stalactite rocks locally known as “amabere ga nyinamwiru”.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

You will be picked up by our guide and driver from your lodge in the morning after your breakfast. He will drive you to the Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. You will thereafter be led by a professional ranger guide in the forests of Kibale on a trekking adventure of chimpanzees. After the allocation of these primates, you will be given an hour in their presence.

This afternoon, head to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary which is a conservation project managed by the locals. While in Bigodi wetland, you will have epic scenes of different bird species and other primate species like vervet monkeys, and olive baboons, among others.

Day 10: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

You will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park immediately after your delicious breakfast. You will check into your booked lodge in the park, have dinner, and overnight.

Day 11: Game drive and boat cruise

In the following morning, you will be picked up from your lodge and drive to the park for a morning game drive. Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda and is home to a variety of wildlife species such as lions, elephants, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, and topis among others. You will also visit Murchison Falls the world’s strongest waterfall during your game drive and marvel at the sheer power of the waterfall and the amount of force it delivers once you are close to it.

You will also spot the diverse vegetation zones in Murchison Falls National Park. In the afternoon after your lunch, you will engage in a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. While on a boat cruise, you will spot a variety of water animals such as hippos, crocodiles, and other animals on the shores of the river.

Day 12: Departure

After your breakfast and checking out of the lodge, our driver will pick you up and drive to Kampala or Entebbe airport for departure.
