Overview.
Uganda is a country that boosts with a variety of attractions and taking on a 5 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari will introduce you to the endangered mountain gorillas alongside other Ugandan treasures. Your journey will begin from Entebbe International Airport after which you will take on a guided Kampala city tour. The following day you will travel to Bwindi to trek the endangered mountain gorillas. Uganda has over half of the world’s mountain gorilla population.
The biggest population of the mountain gorillas in Uganda is in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. In the morning, you will take on a gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi and later visit the Batwa community that stays close to the park. You will travel to Lake Mburo National Park for a boat cruise in the evening. The last day of your 5 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari will give you unforgettable memories of wildlife experience and diverse landscapes of Lake Mburo National Park.
Detained Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Kampala city tour
When you arrive in Uganda, our guide will pick you up from the airport and embark on a tour in the city of Kampala. While in the city you will visit the historical sites of Uganda like Kasubi tombs where the Kings of Buganda kingdom are buried, the Amin torture chambers in Bulange in Mengo, the Bahai temple, cultural sites like the Buganda Kingdom among others.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The following day after your breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. this journey takes about 10 hours on the Mbarara-Masaka highway to Mbarara-Kabale road.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour
The following day after your breakfast, our guide will pick you up and take you to offices of the park in the region you are trekking. After the briefing on the code of conduct expected while trekking, you will head to the forest for the highlight of your 5 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari. Gorilla trekking involves walking in the jungles of Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas. The search for the mountain gorillas in Bwindi does not take long because of the number of gorillas in the park. While on the trekking journey, you will come across a variety of bird species, primate species like the olive baboon, L’Hoest monkey among others. After encountering the mountain gorillas, you will be offered only an hour with these endangered species. After your delicious lunch, you will head to the Batwa community for a tour and interaction with the local people. Learn about the tales of the forest keepers, their cultures and ancient history. You will later be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo for an evening boat cruise
The next morning after your breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park via Igongo Cultural Center. While in Igongo, you will visit the museum and learn about the ancient history of the Ankole Kingdom. You will also visit the 1520 AD eclipse monument that is opposite the cultural center. You will arrive in Lake Mburo National Park in time for lunch at your booked lodge and head to Lake Mburo the biggest lake in the park for an evening boat cruise. You will encounter different animal species like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, impalas, and many others while on your boat cruise. At the end of the boat cruise, our professional guide will be there to transport you to your lodge for dinner.

Day 5: Game drive and Departure
This is the last day of your 5 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari. You will start this day with a delicious breakfast and check out from your lodge. Our guide will then pick you up and head to the park for a morning game drive. You will encounter game animals like buffaloes, impalas, zebras, waterbuck among others. You will then take lunch and embark on your journey back to Entebbe for your departure. There will be a stopover at Kayabwe to take some photos at the equator.
