Overview.

As we start on this epic adventure of 3 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari into the world of the apes in Bwindi, be sure to have beautiful scenes of the endangered mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park at the bottom of Uganda in the southwestern region hosts half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world.

Around 480 mountain gorillas are in the park so it will not take you much long to meet them. Spending time with these primates that we shall with over 90% of our DNA is surely something worth your time.

Detained Itinerary.

Day1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After a delightful breakfast or no arrival, you will find our professional guide and driver waiting for you. There you will embark on a 9-10-hour journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The Masaka-Mbarara route that connects to the Mbarara-Ntungamo road and then to the Kabale-Kisoro route will be used.

Along the way to Bwindi, we shall have a brief stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for a photo moment. You will enjoy beautiful scenes of the landscape as you breathe in the fresh air from the ever-green countryside while on your way. We shall check in at your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park just in time for dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park

You will be saved an early delicious breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for the activity of the day. After your breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your lodge to the headquarters of the park for the briefing on the expected code of conduct while gorilla trekking. With the guidance of the rangers, you will embark on a journey into the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi to trek down these endangered mountain gorillas. The process of trekking is quite physical as it involves walking through thickets of dense forest for 2-5 hours depending on the gorilla family you are trekking.

Each family of these gorillas is tracked by only 8 people and for an hour. After the allocation of the primates, you will be offered one hour with them to take a few photographs as they feed and go by with their daily chores in their habitat. When the hour elapses, the rangers will guide you back to the park offices and head back to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

 

Day3: Departure

The following morning after your delicious breakfast, you will check out of the lodge ready to jump back on the road to Kampala of your departure.
