Overview
The adventure awaits you as you take part in this 6-day Uganda Rwanda double gorilla trekking. The safari means that you will visit Bwindi National Park and trek the gorillas twice and it’s the same as in Volcanoes National Park. While in Uganda, have a chance to view the Uganda equator, and Lake Mburo National Park with its attractions and enjoy the Batwa community walk where you encounter the traditional music and dances.
In Volcanoes National Park, have the option of visiting the Ibyiwachu cultural village, enjoying the rolling hills around the country and more. The safari will begin from Kampala/Entebbe and it will end in Kigali Rwanda.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1. Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The driver guide will pick you up from any agreed point in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer you to Bwindi National Park home to almost half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas.
The road trip is amazing as you pass through different attractions like Lake Mburo National Park with its antelope and zebras, the equator line for experiments, photos, and souvenir buying, rolling hills in Kigezi Ankole terraced hills and many more Others. Arrive and head to the lodge for your dinner.
Day2. Gorilla trekking
Enjoy breakfast followed by a short drive to the park offices for a short briefing. This briefing is all about getting used to the presence of gorillas by highlighting the dos and don’ts, gorilla behaviours, materials needed for trekking and others. The search will begin while your camera light is turned off since the gorillas hate the flashlight.
There is a lot to spot such as olive baboons, Rwenzori batis, handsome Francolin, regal sunbirds, vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and many more others. Spend an hour in the presence of mountain gorillas recording memories and this will create everlasting memories. Know that the overall experience takes about 6 hours in the jungle and you appreciate nature. After, have an optional experience or leisurely evening at your lodge.
Day3. Second gorilla trekking, Cross to Rwanda and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Like the previous day, breakfast will be served and then briefing followed which will not be different from that of yesterday. Head into the forest to begin the search for these beautiful creatures in their natural home. The second gorilla trekking adventure will be in the same national park but the different gorilla families and different sectors. After the experience, crosstorwanda and transfer to Volcanoes National Park a home to gorillas. The driver guide will help you cross the border through the immigration offices and acquire the needed and then find yourself at the lodge with great scenery of the surroundings.
Day4. First Gorilla trekking
Head to the park offices for the first gorilla trekking experience where you encounter a great experience. Meeting a family of gorillas is rewarding since you encounter their behaviours and daily way of life. Some of the family members will be searching for food, playing, breastfeeding, and more. This will be a great time full of memories.
Day5. Second gorilla trekking
Like the previous day, head back to the park offices to receive a briefing. After beginning the search with the help of the park the guide and Porters while meeting attractions like the olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, elephants, buffalos and more. The overall experience can last for 6 hours including an hour spent in the presence of this beautiful creature. Capture memories through recording videos and capturing photos for a lifetime adventure.
Day6. Head to Kigali and fly back home
Enjoy your last meal on this safari which will be followed by a transfer to Kigali as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding covered with thousand hills. The driver guide will drop you off at the airport to board your flight back home hence the end of the safari.
